"It has been said that is better to give than to receive."   You must have asked yourself, what makes it so much better?  The answer to this little mystery is that it is God's way of making each of us responsible for our own wealth and prosperity or the lack thereof.

Prosperity is not about finding a get rich quick plan, but is about finding God's plan for your life.  Once we get our plan off of God's plan, then we can receive prosperity and growth.   But seek ye first the kingdom of  God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added to you.  We cannot allow money to be the center of our vision.  Financial blessings come with the plan of God, but it is not the main ingredient.  We must realize that it may not be God's plan for you and me to ever be rich, in the natural.  Woe unto you who are rich, for ye have received your consolation.  We must learn to be content in what ever state we are in and become good stewards over that which God have given us.

*The key to receiving a blessing is to first give yourselves wholly to the Lord, and then be a blessing to someone else.  We must learn to manage the amount that he has already given to us.  He said that he would place no more on you than you can bare.  So you must prepare yourself to receive the increase!

Scripture Reading : Mat. 16, Luke 6, Luke 12, II Corinthians 8

Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure pressed down and shaken together and running over, shall men give into you bosom.  For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6-38

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul. Mat 16:26

I will say unto my soul thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink and be marry.   But God said unto him, thou fool, this night thy soul is required of thee: then whose shall those thing be, which thou hast provided.  So is he that layeth up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.  Luke 12:19-21

Today's Pray for a Financial Blessing:   8/27/06

Heavenly Father, we come to you today to say thank you for all that you have given to us.   We say thank because you have not allow us to have all the things that we have prayed for.   We say thank you because you have shielded us from things that would have destroyed us.   We ask that you grant us wisdom and understand that we may know the things to ask for in prayer and to do the things that will please you.  We ask you to continue to meet our needs and show us the plan that you have for our lives, so that we might walk holy before you.  Lord Jesus, help us to be cheerful givers and good stewards over that which you have place in our care.  These things we ask in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
